Day students only- Follows the Exploratory Internship I. Students spend one day per week with an HVAC/R company or maintenance department learning the skills necessary to become an HVACR technician. Companies can request a permanent intern after the student has completed the Exploratory Internship I required hours. Each internship assignment must be attended to receive credit hours. Failure to attend will result in zero hours for that internship day. Intensive on the job training under the direct supervision and direction of an experience technician will equate to 3 hours of work experience equal to 1 course hour of credit. Weekly internship reports must be completed and submitted.
